Для традиционной экспертной парадигмы важно разделение на экспертов и обывателей. Понятия эксперта и экспертной деятельности, как правило, связываются с официальными институциями. Однако в современном медиатизированном обществе происходит пересмотр такой позиции. Важную роль в изменении социальных представлений об экспертном статусе играют технологические инновации.
