В статье анализируется функция описания деятельности духовников в текстах Древней Руси. Духовническая практика для священнослужителей была одной из обязанностей. Через духовных отцов, их беседы с паствой и тексты, написанные ими в жанре публицистики, Церковь оказывала влияние на членов общества - в частности формировала их поведение.
The function of priests’ activity description in Ancient Russian publicism is analyzed in this article. The priest had to serve as the Confessor - that was a part of his job. Through spiritual fathers, their conversation with the congregation and the texts written in the genre of journalism, the Church influenced members of society - in particular, shaped their behavior.
