В современном обществе журналистское расследование является востребованным и популярным жанром журналистики. Оно выполняет ряд важнейших социальных функций, среди которых информирование и формирование общественного мнения. Кроме того, этот жанр оказывает существенное влияние на взгляды аудитории. В данной статье рассмотрены три уровня влияния, которые отличаются масштабом и важностью. На примере крупнейших журналистских расследований последних лет продемонстрировано, насколько необходимы такие материалы для улучшения качества жизни нашего общества.

Investigative journalism is a popular and needed genre of journalism in modern society. It performs a number of important social functions such as informing and forming public opinion. In addition, this genre has a significant impact on views of the audience. In this article we consider three levels of influence different in the scale and importance are considered. For example greatest journalistic investigations of recent years are analyzed. It is demonstrated how necessary such materials are for improving the quality of the life in our society.
