Abstract

The article covers public discussion that took place after the end of the II World War in Russian anti-Soviet émigré community. The deep contrariety between two émigré centers - Paris and New York - is being analysed as well as its original matter - the visit of Russian émigré group led by V.A. Maklakov to the Soviet embassy and the scandal this event aroused. The author of the article concludes that Russian émigré community was torn apart with deep dissent regarding its relation to the Soviet government. Although this dissent had different motives it reflected the change in the life of émigré community after the II World War.
