Abstract
The use of artificial intelligence (AI) in mass media is becoming more and more commonplace and requires deep thinking. Due to the lack of clear legal regulation and ethical standards, the audience is not protected from the risks of deception, misleading and manipulation. The article deals with the study of the currently applied legal and ethical standards of the neural networks use in mass media, as well as to the analysis of those aspects that still need to be regulated. The scientific methods used are induction, description, generalization, and content analysis. As part of comprehending the necessary ethical standards, a survey of journalism students at the RSUH faculty of journalism was conducted.
