Культовая проституция на древнем Ближнем Востоке: современное состояние вопроса

Аннотация

Начиная с 1970-х годов существование культовой проституции на древнем Ближнем Востоке стало подвергаться сомнению. В данной статье представлен обзор современных подходов к наиболее обсуждаемым текстам, которые прежде понимались как свидетельства в пользу существования культовой проституции. В статье рассматриваются следующие тексты: Геродот, История 1.199; гимн шумерского царя Иддин-Дагана А 180-192; аккадские тексты, в которых соседствуют термины ḳadištu ‘жрица’ и ḫarimtu ‘проститутка’; тексты Еврейской Библии, в которых встречается термин ḳǝdēšā (Быт 38:21-22, Втор 23:18, Ос 4:14). В заключение дана краткая оценка современного состояния вопроса.
