Abstract
The monograph by Lyudmila Lvovna Fedorova deals with lexical and phraseological semantics, stereotypes and national-cultural specific nature of the linguistic image. The various linguistic and cultural subjects presented in the book are united by the general idea of language as an image of the world, analysis of cultural stereotypes. The author develops the ideas of the cognitive theory of metaphor, cognitive ethnolinguistics.
