Abstract

On the basis of archival documents the article examines the state of the railway system of the North-Western regions of the USSR. It discusses the ability of this rail system to implement mass military transportation. It examines the role of the military rail transport in ensuring the operations of the North-Western Front during the Soviet-Finnish War.
