From the history of the journalism of the late 1920s - early 1930s. The testimony of A. Harry

Abstract
The researchers analyze the testimony of a Soviet writer and leading journalist of the newspaper “Izvestia” Alexei Harry, given by him during the investigation at the OGPU in 1930. In the context of this testimony they describe his biography and journalistic activities. Reasons why the journalist was arrested three times are analyzed. Special emphasis is placed on one of Harry’s journalistic assignments: feeding the journalists working in Moscow foreign correspondents information about the life of the Soviet Union.
