Social and political context of the feuilleton “An obsolete wife” by M. Koltsov (1927)

Abstract
The article reveals and describes the socio-political context of the feuilleton “An Obsolete Wife” by M. Koltsov, appeared in the pages of the newspaper “Pravda”. The feuilleton was published in 1927, at the height of the party struggle, and was devoted to the everyday problem. The author analyzes possible reasons for the publication of this article and concludes that Koltsov’s feuilleton was an anti-Trotskyist text related to “a discussion about pornographic literature”.
