Abstract

The article is devoted to the folk tradition of dream interpretation. Most of the interpretations describe the significance of visual images.However, besides the visual channel of perception, all senses can be involved in dreams: hearing, smell, touch, and taste. Based on the fieldwork conducted in the Poltava region (2012-2016), the article examines cases when the sensations experienced by the dreamer determine the interpretation of the dream.
