Why would we cover a dog with a rag? Interpretations of Mongolian rituals as a fact of folklore

Abstract

The article analyzes various modes of rituals interpretation by tradition bearers. There are several interpretative “models” that are used for explain the different groups of rites. The author also considers a connection between the functions of rituals and the folklore context in which they exist, as well as the “models” used to interpret them.
