A.E. Izmaylov and his magazine “Blagonamerenniy” in the magazine controversy of the 1820s

Abstract
The article is about the controversy, led by the A.E. Izmailov’s magazine “Blagonamerenniy” with the editor of the magazine “Nevsky zritel” W.K. Kuchelbecker. The controversy quickly escalated into personal insults. In the end, the relationship between Izmailov and Kuchelbecker was torn apart and the “Blagonamerenniy” ceased to be used by Kuchelbeckers’ friends for publications.
