Specifics of investigative journalism in the United States

Abstract

In the history of investigative journalism loudest and most resonant investigations were always the materials about the exposure of major financial figures and politicians that had an impact on the society. Thanks to one investigation which lasted for more than 25 years, the United States could protect the people from negative effects of tobacco confirming the fact that investigators can really protect citizens’ rights and improve the living conditions of many people.
