Египетское влияние на форму и декор мероитской керамики (по материалам раскопок в Абу Эртейле, Судан)

Аннотация
В статье на основе керамического материала, обнаруженного совместной российско-итальянской археологической экспедицией в ходе изучения храмово-административного комплекса I-III вв. н. э. в Абу Эртейле (Судан), анализируется степень влияния египетских гончарных традиций на мероитскую керамику, прослеживаются возможности заимствования форм сосудов, а также декора, имеющего как эстетическое, так и в большей степени символическое значение. Учитывая, что в Мероитский период в гончарном деле существовало несколько керамических традиций (местная нубийская, египетская, а также эллинистическая), высказываются предположения о путях, методах и причинах заимствования типов египетской ремесленной продукции в Мероитском царстве.
