Abstract

With the help of numerous expressive means, methods of propaganda and manipulation, in particular, terms-ideologues and oppositions “friend–foe”, the Newspapers covered the process of adoption of the new Constitution in the spring-autumn of 1993 by the President and Parliament. The newspaper “Izvestia” proved the legitimacy of the meeting of the President and his right to accept his project bypassing the Congress; “Pravda” defended the current Constitution and justified the illegality of initiatives and actions of Yeltsin.
