Documentary movie of E. Shub “Spain” as an example of Soviet film publicism of the 1930s

Abstract
The article analyses the publicistic techniques used by E.I. Shub when creating the documentary movie “Spain” (1939). The historical and political context of the creation of this film is analyzed, the techniques used by Shub and his colleagues-filmmakers are described. It reveals the degree of reliability of the events shown in the film. The article concludes that the techniques used in the film served the tasks of political propaganda.
