Visualization of data materials as a way to attract the audience in modern media

Abstract

Because of a lot of information in the Internet, it is becoming increasingly difficult for user to realize and analyze facts every day. The audience gradually ceases to tell the difference between the important and secondary facts and can’t reveal useful information. As a result, journalists transformed from the information intermediary to analysts or conductors in the world of Big Data. So Big Data becomes the main tool for modern reporters and contributes to the development of a new direction in mass media whichis named Data journalism. Data journalism in turn dictates new requirements and methods of work and analyzing and presenting numerous facts in a convenient and attractive form for the audience become the main task. In this regard, the visualization or creation of the demandable project based on Big Data is a general and developing activity in the media. The article discusses the modern ways of visualizing data materials, provides methods for creating infographics used in the world’s media, analyzes the issues associated with poor-quality and incomplete visualization and also the conclusion is given on why it is important to continue using that form of material.
