After returning from Dornach to Russia in 1916 Andrey Bely joined the literary group “The Scythians” and published a number of articles and essays pretending to be a manifesto. The article analyses Andrey Bely’s views on the issue of a reflection of modernity (the World War I and revolution) in the literature as well as an influence of Ivanov-Razumnik’s (the leader of “The Scythians” group) ideas upon Andrey Bely.

The article covers the history of the Odessa literary journal “Zhizn” under the Austro-German occupation of 1918. The periodical contents reveal the Odessa writers’ and artists’ interests and concerns and let us reestablish the connections between the Odessa journalism and the contemporary European and Russian literary and press work.

The researchers analyze the anti-Soviet moods among Moscow journalists in the 1930s. The M. Volpin’s criminal case materials are used to characterize the journalists’ private conversations regarding their attitude to current events in the USSR. New facts concerning some literary men’s lives are revealed.

Abstract
The researchers reconstruct the story of assessment procedure of E.S. Ginzburg’s “chronicle” “Into the whirlwind” in the Soviet literary journals “Novy mir” and “Yunost’”. It is assumed that the work was rejected primarily due to the fact that it had been printed by the so-called “samizdat” and later - in the illegal almanac “Feniks 1967”, after which some fragments of the book appeared in the anti-Soviet emigrant journals “Possev” and “Grani”. Another argument contrary to “chronicle” publication was that Ginzburg could possibly be prosecuted with regard to the commencement at that time of the trial against A. Sinyavsky, Yu. Daniel and the associated persons. The scholars also compare the case with the similar one concerning Grossman’s novel “Life and Fate” publication and assert that various algorithms depriving an author of his works were being formed within the Soviet system of the 1960s.

The function of monks-doctors’ activity description in XI-XIII centuries Russian publicism is analyzed in this article. Medical practice was almost requirement for monks. The strongs payed them for it and meanwhile non-gently born parishioners became stronger in faith - the monks helped people at no cost.

Abstract
The article considers non-trivial aspect of an autobiographic publicism by the material of N.P. Ogarev’s texts - the set of his poetic autobiographic works. There is an analysis of their cultural and historical context and a conclusion that the considered texts contain all the characteristic features of that author’s autobiographic publicistic work, such as his manifested sincerity and directness, citizenly pathos, in-depth psychological analysis and practical interests.

Abstract
The paper deals with N.A. Berdyaev’s articles dedicated to the Word War I. The famous Russian philosopher argues that essence of the German militarism is the nihilistic program realized by the prewar Futuristic art. This approach allows to analyze the Great War from the cultural point of view.

The article considers specifics of usage and writing names consisting of several words, in official texts and media. The research is conducted on the basis of materials Russian National Corpus. The hypothesis about the causes of occurrence and mechanisms of selection of different variants of spelling rules and the nature of usual preferences is proposed.
