Abstract
According to materials of newspapers and magazines public reaction to the amnesty for decembrists, declared by coronation manifesto of Alexander II, of 26 August 1856, is restored in this article. It is shown that, contrary to popular researcher’s opinion that the amnesty provoked strong public reaction, which made the decembrists heroes of public opinion, in fact, nothing like that happened. In perception of the society a declaration of the amnesty for decembrists was inseparable from the other amnesty provisions, which were integral to the news of coronation ceremonies in public consciousness. The first public edition of M.A. Korf’s “The accession of Emperor Nicholas I to the throne” caused a genuine public interest in 1857. This article revises the traditional view of reasons which prompted Alexander II to insist on public edition of the work.

Abstract
The researchers analyze the autobiographical investigative testimony of 1930 and 1938 of a leading journalist of the newspaper “Izvestia” Alexei Garry. The date of his birth, the information about his father and family, about education are specified, and his role in the Civil war in Russia is revealed. Researchers also analysed how one of the prominent Soviet journalists managed to remain nonparty.

Abstract
The article analyses with the propagandistic campaign initiated according to decisions of the XVIII Congress of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union. In particular, without ceasing the Great Terror the party hypocritically called to stop repressions and to rehabilitate innocent people. This campaign was described in Leonid Leonov’s play “The Snowstorm” and in the story “The Rehabilitation” by the avantgarde writer daniil Kharms.

Abstract
The aim of the essay is to analyze the specific features of critical reception of V. Grossman’s novel “Life and Fate” in Russian emigrant periodicals. The scholar investigates the problem of there being very few intermittent reviews of the novel in the 1980s and assumes that it must have been caused by unspoken confrontation between Grossman and Solzhenitsin, whose authority was then indisputable among many emigrant groups. Another obstacle was ambiguous Grossman’s reputation as a writer. It was formed in the 1970s, shortly after the appearance of his story “Everything flows”, which ideology could not be accepted by most Russian emigrants.

The function of priests’ activity description in Ancient Russian publicism is analyzed in this article. The priest had to serve as the Confessor - that was a part of his job. Through spiritual fathers, their conversation with the congregation and the texts written in the genre of journalism, the Church influenced members of society - in particular, shaped their behavior.

Abstract
The article is devoted to an analysis of one of the techniques of emotional speech influence applied by modern publicists, - the metaphorization of the word noose in the texts of newspapers “Novaya Gazeta” and “Zavtra” (2015). The author shows that the journalists keep the associative field generated by the direct meaning of the word, so metaphorical image of noose is able to bring the reader into a state of fear, disgust, anger and create a favorable emotional background for the propaganda.
