Abstract
The article addresses translated materials of the Academy of Science journal “Monthly Essays for Benefit and Entertainment” related to economic theory and practice of doing business. Some materials of European theorists for the journal have been first translated into Russian for the first time. These translations, according to the editor, were supposed to be not only of scientific and educational purpose, but also of practical one.

Abstract
The researchers analyze the testimony of a Soviet writer and leading journalist of the newspaper “Izvestia” Alexei Harry, given by him during the investigation at the OGPU in 1930. In the context of this testimony they describe his biography and journalistic activities. Reasons why the journalist was arrested three times are analyzed. Special emphasis is placed on one of Harry’s journalistic assignments: feeding the journalists working in Moscow foreign correspondents information about the life of the Soviet Union.

Abstract
The article deals with a propaganda company that started in Soviet periodical press in August - September 1940. It was triggered by V. Molotov’s report in which taking into account the Second World War he summoned the Soviet citizens to “readiness for mobilization”. In literature it stipulated government order to depict heroic and virtuous characters. The “readiness for mobilization” idea explains criticism of A. Avdeenko for his partiality to negative characters, and criticized.

Abstract
The article reveals and describes the socio-political context of the feuilleton “An Obsolete Wife” by M. Koltsov, appeared in the pages of the newspaper “Pravda”. The feuilleton was published in 1927, at the height of the party struggle, and was devoted to the everyday problem. The author analyzes possible reasons for the publication of this article and concludes that Koltsov’s feuilleton was an anti-Trotskyist text related to “a discussion about pornographic literature”.

Abstract
The research focuses on the reviews of V. Shalamov’s poetry that were published in the 1950s - 1960s. Having those sources analyzed in the cultural and political context of the above period the author concludes that the nature of critical reception was determined mainly by political conditions.

Abstract
The aim of the research is to elucidate the semantic and pragmatic features of the mention relating to V. Grossman in A. Solzhenitsyn’s memoirs. It is proved that the target set is not achievable unless Solzhenitsyn’s non-fiction is checked against evidences in some other sources.

Abstract
The article focuses on analysis of series of articles by Anatoly Lunacharsky about Nikolaj Chernyshevsky. In these articles Lunacharsky tries to i enhance literary status of the author of the novel “What isto be done?” and to prove that Chernyshevsky is a good novelist. The conclusion is made that this attempt ended with two-fold result: on the one hand, in series of articles Lunacharsky states that Chernyshevsky is one of the best writers. But on the other hand this statement is always accompanied by some doubtful reservations. As a result the meaning of articles could lead audience to the conclusion about Chernyshevsky that was already present during pre-Soviet times: that the author of“What is to be done?” is primarily a propagandist, and the writer only in the second place.

Abstract
The article considers the functioning of synonymous negative evaluative adjectives in the texts of ideologically opposite media.The author shows that the expressive negativity prevail in the pro-communist nationalistic newspaper “Zavtra”, where journalists actively use such-like vocabulary for the sarcastic imitation of the speech of a political opponent. In the liberal, pro-Western “Novaya Gazeta” the number and variety of negative epithets are somewhat smaller, they often serve to direct negative evaluation of various phenomena. In general, the use of negative evaluative vocabulary contributes to the creation of general aggressive tone in contemporary mass communication.

Abstract
The article shows how such a key concept of Russian culture as “good” is reflected in modern media space. Ideas about good largely affect the axiological scale of the journalist. Through the prism of this concept, the journalist assesses moral significance of the phenomena of public life in their correlation with an ideal. The understanding of what is good contained in the media text is conveyed to a broad readership and greatly influences public consciousness.

Abstract
The article explores the practice of neologisms and nonce-words use in the polemic materials of the Soviet literary editions of the 20s - the beginning of 30s of 20th century. It is proposed to consider neologisms and nonce-words as a tool of expressing of a negative evaluation which increases aggressiveness of a journalistic polemical text.

Abstract
The article is devoted to the use of allusion as an expressive tool and as an instrument to fulfill the author’s intention. Materials from business newspaper “RBC”, published in the last year are considered. It is concluded that the headings of the allusion, depending on the structure can be divided into two types, each has its own characteristics.

Abstract
The article analyzes an experience of interaction of Russian journalism schools and employers. Today, educational standards and labour market demand such cooperation. The principles, dynamics and quality of cooperation in the capital and regional universities vary differ significantly. Different level of interest and competition determine the level of involvement of the employer educational process. Among the traditional forms of interaction with the employer considers the development of educational programs, festivals, forums, workshops is considered. The experience of the faculty of journalism at RSUH in the context of joint work with the representatives of the labour market is analyzed in detail. Contemporary and promising forms of cooperation are excursions to the media, teaching by practicing journalists, conducting classes in editorial offices of the media companies, conducting of Master Classes, organization of practical training. The effectiveness of interaction forms in the faculty of journalism at RSUH is confirmed by a number of objective factors. Firstly, the sustained interest and constant growth of applications of applicants within each admission campaign. Secondly, the demand for graduates of the faculty. over 90% of graduates work in the specialty. Thirdly, surveys of graduates polling.

Abstract
The article focused on providing a rationale for the following method: “project based learning” or “research project”. Basic approaches and principles which authors define to the method’s organization, summing up their own experience and practice of their colleagues the authors formulate principles and basic approaches to method’s organization and give its definition. The article demonstrates by special examples which factors determine the choice of a methodical technique, as well as the specific means the teacher applies. Also, the article in detail considers the principles of activity, research (creative) position, objectivity (awareness) of behavior and (subject-subject) communication for partners.

Abstract
The article considers the category of “public interest” and its implications for media freedom. Analyzed international norms on ensuring a fair balance of freedom of expression and privacy protection as an equivalent legal values are analyzed. By example of a particular court case it shows that the existing in Russian legislation and in judgements of the RF Supreme Court gap in the definition of “public person” as a subject of public interest leads to judicial decisions that are contrary to international norms.

Abstract
Investigative journalism is a popular and needed genre of journalism in modern society. It performs a number of important social functions such as informing and forming public opinion. In addition, this genre has a significant impact on views of the audience. In this article we consider three levels of influence different in the scale and importance are considered. For example greatest journalistic investigations of recent years are analyzed. It is demonstrated how necessary such materials are for improving the quality of the life in our society.
